Name-checked on both Vic Galloway's "25 Scottish Artists to Watch in 2021" for BBC Radio Scotland, and BBC Rapal's "Artists to Look Out For in 2021”, Dunt’s latest offering (from forthcoming album ‘Starter Pact’) is a lofi, alt-pop collaboration with musician/ producer SHEARS, taking influences from Little Dragon, Flying Lotus and Banks.
‘SPC BTWN’ is a bittersweet love letter to the experience of living in cities, and the comfort, safety, and loneliness of anonymity that comes with it. The track is built on nostalgic string samples, understated vocals, recycled percussion, and analogue bass synths, all underpinned by Dunt’s trademark gritty production.
Artwork and animation by Genevieve Ryan, with a nod to the Southside of Glasgow, where Dunt and Southside Deluxe are based.
